Everyone wants to stay young. Crownz is no exception. Comprised of 4 ambitious twenty-somethings – Karly, Bryce, Christian & DJ Crownz – this vibrant group has been graciously dubbed a modern day “Peter Pan & the Lost Boys,” as their music illustrates love, pain and their shared fight against the threshold of adulthood.

Continuing the trend, Crownz even defies the pseudo established laws of genres as their sound is not just relegated to a DJ spinning pop in the club circuit. Far from it. Their lyrics and music are a playful fusion of Synth Pop, EDM and Trap combined with analog Rock instrumentation to create a futuristic sound with a hint of ’80s lineage. Jarring synth arrangements, swoops, and plucks of airy guitars, empowering vocals and clattering drum claps of a thousand drone armies defines their approach as modern and ambiguous enough to appeal to any rebellion.

It should come as no surprise that Crownz matches their stellar sound with a perfectly formulated stage show including syncopated, detailed light displays and non-stop energy permeating throughout their raucous performances.  http://www.crownzofficial.com/

Recently, Crownz participated in a live stream series presented by FWDthinkers along side The Identity Tampa Bay called “727 to 813”. Check out that performance here: Crownz performs at the Attic at Rock Brothers.

Quote: “Crownz” is all about wanting to feel yourself, especially if you maybe feel like you “don’t belong”…we want to create a safe place and a fun-loving, carefree environment for all of our listeners and fans because life is too short to take so seriously. All of the songs that we write are meant to be about real-life experiences and what we’ve gone through as teenagers and young adults. We feel like with what the state of the world is right now we need to especially take on that carefree mindset because life is really too short and you never know when your last day is going to be and that’s why we formed a band in the first place because it’s what we love to do and not many people get to say they lived out their dreams. We get to share music with the world and meet incredible musicians from all over the world and get to hear each other’s stories through music…that’s pretty special. “
